Om Jai Lakshmi Mata - Full Lyrics
Om Jai Lakshmi Mata (in Devanagari):
Meaning of the Aarti
The aarti hails Lakshmi Mata, served day and night by Hari (Vishnu) and the Creator. She is one with Uma, Rama and Brahmani - the Mother of the whole world, meditated upon by the sun and moon and sung of by sage Narada.
She is the giver of happiness and wealth; whoever meditates on her gains riddhi-siddhi and riches. The verses say that in the house where she dwells, all good qualities arrive, everything becomes possible, and the mind never trembles. Without her there would be no yajna, no clothing, no abundance of food. Born of the milk-ocean, she is the source of the fourteen jewels. The closing verse promises that whoever sings her aarti is filled with joy and freed of sins.
